ABOUT ME

I'm Paula Sordello and I am a Communications Specialist and Accessibility Advocate. My area of expertise is all things Communication, particularly website design & management, SEO, document & web accessibility (508 compliance) and training, and utilization of the Google Workspace.

I've been working in "web" for over 15 years. I worked at the El Dorado County Office of Education for 8 years, most recently as a Communications Specialist. It was here that I was introduced to web and document accessibility, the importance of compliance, and also how best to apply accessibility into staff workflow particularly in a governmental or educational agency (which can present unique challenges).

 

So, over the last several years, web accessibility has been my focus. I am a professional member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. I've developed training programs that assist organizations in training their staff to produce accessible content both via web and documents. These skills are invaluable as most organization's are moving towards the goal of accessibility for all for their web-based content as well as internal communications and documents.

Through the years working with web content and websites, I've learned what works and and what doesn't for marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In other words, I can help your business get found on Google. I LOVE working with small businesses to assist them in navigating the digital marketing world.
